As an attractive employer, Erste Group offers interesting career opportunities in an international environment.Large Corporates (LC) represents the high performance client coverage team for national and international large corporates clientele within Erste Group Corporates & Capital Markets. The LC Team takes full responsibility for overall relationship management, business origination, global account management and group-wide risk/return for defined client groups with a turnover of EUR 75mn or more.LC's client service approach combines sector/industry specialization with regional intelligence and product expertise in order to be in the position to act as a trusted advisor for and to enter into a continuous strategic dialogue with the client's decision makers.As an Industry Analyst (Analyst/Associate level) you will be a key team member of one the Sector Teams within LC. In this role you will contribute to the entire value chain of the business, specifically, the origination and execution of deals, day-to-day business and continuous relationship management for a defined client portfolio. In performing financial, industry and market analysis you will lay grounds for sales initiatives but also front office risk management. Further key activities comprise industry coverage and development work as well as financial structuring and modelling.

Your Tasks

  • Responsibility for defined tasks and projects along the corporate and investment banking value chain of a leading regional bank in Austria and CEE
  • Work closely with the dynamics of the specific industry sector in order to identify and address client needs along with the ability to build relationships in a professional manner
  • Play an integral role within the core team & support the day-to-day client relationship management and deal origination and execution
  • Coordinate and prepare deal origination materials, credit applications and other supporting documents in the course of originating, structuring and executing deals
  • Conduct fundamental industry research and quantitative analyses, as well as reviewing, monitoring and organizing financial data and developing qualitative analyses
  • Support the development of the bank's sector expertise and business incl. knowledge management and internal and external network build-up
  • Contribute to account planning and target client analysis including evaluation of product use and potential
  • Evaluation of client & deal profitability within the given framework
  • Cooperate with product specialists, risk managers, colleagues of local banks and other key professionals across the group to ensure information and deal execution efficiency and to foster group collaboration effectiveness

Your Background

  • A bachelor's degree, master degree is of advantage
  • Responsible attitude with the ability to take pro-active initiative while acting in a most reliable and structured manner at the same time
  • Facilitate trust building and common sense, open minded & a communicative personality
  • Drive, enthusiasm, creativity and excellent interpersonal skills with a motivation to work as a team player in multidisciplinary and cross-cultural transaction teams
  • Value-driven and sense for sustainable developments
  • Economic and political understanding, robust financial and analytical skill set; basic understanding of financial modelling and valuation is a plus
  • Corporate finance know-how
  • Organizational and priority-setting skills
  • Strong willingness to learn and share knowledge in a focused way
  • Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, & PowerPoint; experience with specific research and analysis tools such as
  • Bloomberg is of advantage
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and in German
