Responsibilities
The Accountant will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate processing of all invoices, handling payment disbursements, and maintaining vendor relationships. The Accountant works closely with the Supply Chain Management team to ensure alignment between procurement activities and invoice processing, helping to resolve discrepancies and improve operational efficiency. This role is critical in maintaining financial compliance- and optimizing payment processes.
Your main tasks includes:
- Process and verify vendor invoices in the ERP system, ensure PO alignment, and resolve discrepancies with Supply Chain
- Manage payment operations, including ExFlow approvals, weekly payment runs, and timely, compliant disbursements
- Handle vendor relations, including correspondence, reconciliations, and coordination with internal stakeholders
- Perform monthly financial tasks, such as vendor and credit card reconciliations, report generation, and support for IFRS closings
- Ensure compliance and documentation quality, covering company policies, tax/audit requirements, and SOX standards
- Act as an accounting counterpart within the ongoing ERP transformation project (e.g. testing new functionalities)
Requirements
- At least 3-5 years of experience in accounting/finance, ideally in an international environment
- Solid formal accounting education (e.g. HAK, WIFI-Buchhaltungsprüfung)
- Strong knowledge of Austrian VAT regulations
- Excellent MS Office skills and high IT affinity
- Analytical, independent, and solution-oriented work style, with resilience during busy closing periods
- Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize effectively during peak times
- Willingness to learn and adapt, including readiness to work with new systems and technologies
- Fluency in German and English
